Excurso: Eulàlia Massat, vindicante. ¡Ni tuerta, ni discapacitada: vulnerable!



This text is presented as a philosophical chronicle about the vindications of a character: Eulàlia Massat. In its journey, the chronicle rehearses Eulàlia’s imaginary work, which, as it is presented, is a performative essay on the rupture of the dichotomous language around vision. In Eulàlia Massat’s notebook, according to the chronicle, dichotomy set as seeing or not seeing becomes a mode. Eulàlia’s way of seeing is expressed in her notebook, in her own line of letters and drawings, and in the total absence of any semantics of lack. In this way, the chronicle uses the recourse of notebook in order to generate an “other” artifact, already freed from this duality. Meanwhile, the figur of the alter ego frees the author from the constrictions of her autobiography, in the task of producing a text that is nevertheless embodied. When Eulàlia takes center stage and separates from the author, the speech frees itself from its own autobiographical condemnation and enables the creation of language. That is, the production of a narrative of the way of seeing, devoid of normativity.
